The powerful eagle would seem the obvious candidate for King of Birds. However that storyline lacks surprise and drama. The ancient Celtic tale says it’s the little wren who outwits the eagle in a competition to see who could fly the highest. Hiding on the back of the eagle, the clever bird waits until his exhausted rival could fly no higher. Then the wren darts above the eagle to claim the title. A stolen crown? Our interpretation leans more to bold action and resourceful thinking. Two traits we often find useful right around harvest time.
