ROBERT PARKER: The 2013 Pinot Noir Witch’s Ladder is a ripe, concentrated Pinot Noir with notes of forest floor, plum, Asian spice, and medium to full-bodied, rich, berry-like flavors. This is a concentrated, petal-to-the-metal style of Pinot Noir that is very impressive. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. • • JAMES LAUBE of WINE SPECTATOR: Very rich and potent, with tiers of extracted blackberry, anise and licorice flavors, complemented by gutsy tannins. Far from the mainstream, this represents a style that edges closer to full-blown Cabernet or Syrah than delicate Pinot. Should be worth the wait to see how this eases past its tannic youth. Drink now through 2020. 288 cases made.
