2015 "Killing Moon" Pinot Noir

Russian River Valley
93 points • JEB DUNNUCK • "California: Exuberant, Powerful 2015's" January 2018. From the Wren Hop Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, the 2015 Pinot Noir Killing Moon comes from all Dijon Clones (667&777) and was brought up all in new French oak. It offers a rich, concentrated, age-worthy style as well as terrific notes of black cherry and blackberry fruit, lots of earth, graphite, and underbrush, plenty of background oak, and a textured, concentrated style. Give this serious Pinot Noir a year or two of bottle age and it should keep for upwards of a decade.
